  1. Vitamin D is the only supplement that the general population lack. Like 60% in summer time and 90% in winter time. The best way is a 10 min exposition at noon in your bathing suit with no sunscreen. No more otherwise you will burn and increase your chance of skin cancer. In winter time it is more difficult to get your vitamin D with your diet only. Salmon can get you about 400 to 600 IU per 1/4 pound and you need a gallon of milk to get your daily amount of vitamin D. American Cancer Association recommended a daily intake of 1000 IU per day. http://www.cancer.org/docroot/NWS/content/NWS_1_1x_Study_Sees_Link_Between_Vitamin_D_Breast_Cancer_Prognosis.asp
Be careful not to over do it.
